Telephone-System Solutions

Some recent computer-telephony solutions include:

1. Deployed six-site communications over WAN at Insurance Agency

Bryley built and installed a six-site Avaya IP Office telephone system over a Wide Area Network (WAN) at a local insurance agency.  Each site has a separate Avaya IP Office telephone system with incoming telephone lines specific to the town in which they are located.  The voice-mail server (with voice-mail to email integration) and Call Accounting server are located at the main office.

All incoming calls, regardless of their source, are sent to the call center at the main office:  Main-office calls come in over a voice T1 and branch-office calls are routed over the WAN.

Two operators are located in the call center, with spill-over operators in two branch locations.  If a call rings more than twice at the call center, it is routed over the WAN to the spill-over operators.

All operators have dual-screen PCs running Avaya's eConsole utility in the second screen.  They manage incoming calls through this application.

At this client, all programs, data, and servers reside at the main office with disaster-recovery servers at a second site.  Terminals and PCs at the remote sites connect over the WAN via Microsoft Terminal Server running Citrix MetaFrame.

 2. Connect two sites over the Internet

Bryley linked the Avaya IP Office telephone systems of an electrical contractor with its main office in MA and a satellite office in CT.

Calls originating in CT are transferred over the Internet and received and processed in MA.  After-hours calls at either site are automatically sent to the appropriate cell-phone.

3. Telecommuter Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)

Bryley installed a VoIP telephone at a telecommuter's home and connected this telephone through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) over the Internet to the IP-based telephone system at the main office.

Anyone calling the main office and selecting the user's extension is routed to his home-based telephone over the Internet.  The incoming caller thinks that the telecommuter is in the office, even though his home is miles away from the main office.

4. Remote-office VoIP

We enabled one US-based client with remote users in Ireland to use the Internet and place free, trans-Atlantic calls.

Like the telecommuter above, several VOIP telephones were connected over a Virtual Private Network (VPN) across the Internet to the IP-enabled telephone system in the main office.  Callers from the main office can reach their counterparts in Ireland by dialing their 4-digit extension, without toll charges.

Computer-Network Solutions

Some recent computer-network solutions include:

1. Configured VPN solutions to link sites over the Internet

Bryley linked the computers of a document-management company with sites in MA and CT through a site-to-site Virtual Private Network (VPN) over the Internet.

Computers in the remote CT location connect to MA servers over the VPN through Terminal Services.

2. Installed Microsoft Terminal Services with Citrix at credit union

We deployed Microsoft Terminal Services with Citrix Presentation Server at a credit union to provide transparent terminal sessions for tellers at remote branch offices.  Tellers consistently have the same configuration and maintenance is simplified.

3. Installed WAN routing for branch-offices.

Bryley deployed Cisco 1800, 2800, and 3500-series routers at a multi-site credit union to link these sites together over a WAN.
