Backup/Disaster Recovery (BU/DR)^™

If disaster strikes, is your irreplaceable company data secure and protected? Could you recover this data after an unexpected fire or flooding?  Would your information be available if your server, critical workstation, or notebook computer were stolen?  With Bryley Systems’ BackUp/Disaster Recovery solution, the comforting answer is an emphatic yes.

Unlike conventional, file-based, back-up products, Bryley’s BU/DR creates an image of the entire system state, (including operating system, user settings, applications, and data) providing superior service and security.  Once   your image or folder backups are created onsite, they are then replicated offsite, safely away from your business location.  The process is completely automated and secure, eliminating the need for an employee to remember to perform backup via tape drive and then take the tapes home or move the tapes to a storage facility.

Recovering data – whether it is a simple task of recovering a few files, or a more complex undertaking such as restoring your system from a crash or recovering your system to bare-metal in the event of a disaster – will be performed by the Managed Service team at Bryley, and will be nothing more than swift, efficient, and easy.

Bryley’s Back Up/Disaster Recovery™ provides secure, real-time, automated, disk backup, disk imaging, file-level backups, and bare metal restore for Microsoft Windows-based servers, workstations, and notebooks.

The backup process:

• Bryley initially takes an image of your data and copies this image to our data center in Massachusetts.
• Bryley then streams encrypted, incremental/differential changes from your site to our data-center daily. 
• When the streamed backup exceeds the throughput of your Internet connection, we take a new image.

Data storage and availability:

• Data-center storage is fully redundant.
• Daily, encrypted backups are stored offsite at a secure site in a fire-proof safe.
• Weekly, encrypted backups are stored offsite at a second, secure site in a fire-proof safe.
• For mission-critical equipment, we install a BU/DR appliance onsite to provide local backup-and-restore capability and to speed-up the recovery process.
