HP retains Personal Systems Group (PSG)

by bryley 31. October 2011 17:45

On Thursday, October 27th, HP announced that its Personal Systems Group, the $40b division that is the worldwide leader in Personal Computer sales, is an integral part of its business and will not be spun-off from HP.

HP announced this decision about a month after the ouster of Leo Apotheker, HP’s former CEO, who originally suggested spinning-off PSG.  Mr. Apotheker was replaced by Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay and a member of HP’s Board of Directors.

I guess its a wise decision because the business is doing well and hefty amount has been invested in it.I hope it remains the part of the business.
