BlackBerry Issues Spread to U.S. as Millions Are Cut Off Worldwide

BlackBerry outages that frustrated millions of users in Europe and Asia spread to the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, hitting email, messaging and browsing services.

Research in Motion (RIM) confirmed in a statement that the glitch was affecting North American users. The problem first hit BlackBerry users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on Monday.
